We were delighted to be invited to the EU-Uganda Business Forum 2024 (05.03.-07.03.2024).
Our business manager Robert Moosbrugger and our project manager Nicolas Soehlemann traveled to Uganda for this event to present our new modular, solar heating/cooling system solution for the agricultural and food sector.
We are incredibly proud that we were able to pass on our new ideas and development progress to the numerous visitors and potential customers on the basis of our already realized project KamiraSunanas in Kangulumira.
Our system works independently of the grid and is designed to help farmers to utilize their products directly where they grow them. According to Nico, this was precisely the topic that emerged from the panel discussion:
Quote Nico "The panel discussion on agriculture once again underlined the importance of local value creation in rural areas. Our container system is the perfect solution for entrepreneurs who want to process fruit and vegetable products locally into high-quality export products without having to rely on the power grid, as the system is self-sufficient."
But we wouldn't be TWIGA Sun Fruits GmbH if we traveled anywhere without our pineapples. Of course, we also offered our already established product - our sunny gold - for tasting in connection with our latest development line. Our plant manager from KamiraSunanas, Percy Natukunda, had our latest production with her. As we know that our colleagues in the Global South love our liquid gold as much as we do, we naturally also offered our gin.
It was a great pleasure to welcome prominent guests at our stand. Hon Evelyn Anite, Minister of State for Finance, responsible for investment and privatization, and Johannes Frauscher, Deputy Head of the Austrian Embassy for Development Cooperation in Uganda, came to our stand and talked to us.
Special thanks go to Austria Wirtschaftsservice Sustainable Food Systems for their support, which made it possible for us to participate in this forum. With the aws, we have a great funding partner at our side, who is helping us holistically with the development of the system solution. Our project is presented in its entirety in the newsletter under the following link: aws Sustainable Food System.
So stay tuned - something is happening - not just in the pineapple world, but on the global market.
